DSCI Channel Partner — Data Security Council of India

Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

India's data protection law is here.

Enacted by Parliament in August 2023, the DPDP Act sets out how organisations must collect, use, and safeguard personal data — with real penalties for getting it wrong. DPDP Manager trains the people who make organisations compliant.

DPDP Manager is not DSCI (Data Security Council of India) and does not claim to be. We are a DSCI Channel Partner — meaning DSCI-credentialed certifications, including DCPP, DCPLA, and DCDPO, are delivered to learners through us as an authorised delivery channel.

The law behind the credential

Why this certification exists

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 governs how Indian organisations handle personal data. Every DPDP Manager certification is built around what the Act actually requires — not a generic privacy syllabus.

Key concept 01

Data Fiduciaries and Data Principals

The Act defines two core roles: the Data Fiduciary (the organisation deciding how personal data is processed) and the Data Principal (the individual the data belongs to). Almost every DPDP Manager track starts here.

Key concept 02

Consent-first processing

Personal data can generally only be processed with the Data Principal's clear, informed consent, or under a narrow set of legitimate uses. Consent management is a practical skill across all three of our tracks.

Key concept 03

The Data Protection Board of India

The Act establishes the Data Protection Board of India to hear grievances and enforce penalties. Our DCPLA and DCDPO tracks cover how the Board's process actually works.

Key concept 04

Penalties that reach the boardroom

Non-compliance can carry financial penalties running into hundreds of crores of rupees per instance. That's why organisations increasingly need certified Data Protection Officers and trained compliance staff, not ad-hoc effort.

Questions we get asked

Frequently asked questions

Is DPDP Manager the same as DSCI?

No. DSCI (Data Security Council of India) is a separate, independent body. DPDP Manager is a DSCI Channel Partner, meaning we deliver DSCI-credentialed certification programmes — we don't own or issue DSCI's credentials ourselves.

How much does a certification track cost?

Pricing depends on the track and any current cohort offers. Register for a free webinar or talk to a counsellor and we'll walk you through current pricing for DCPP, DCPLA, or DCDPO before you commit to anything.

Can I explore before I pay for anything?

Yes. The webinar is free, the corporate DPDP readiness assessment is free, and every programme page lays out the full curriculum and outcomes before you enrol.

Do you work with organisations, not just individuals?

Yes — through our corporate readiness assessment and compliance enquiry form, covering corporate training, executive awareness sessions, privacy audits, DPO-as-a-Service, and consulting.

How long does it take to get certified?

It depends on the track and your pace — the curriculum is self-paced after enrolment. Each programme page lists what the track covers so you can gauge the scope before you start.
